Motorcycling New Zealand (MNZ) is pleased to announce, Expressions of Interest (EOI) from New Zealand motocross riders to be considered for the New Zealand team at the 2019 FIM Motocross of Nations (MXoN) is OPEN.

Referred to as the ‘Olympics of Motocross’, the event the pinnacle of the Motocross calendar each year as competitors compete for glory of their Nation. The 2019 FIM MXoN is scheduled to be held in Assen, Netherlands on the 28/29th September.

MNZ provides financial and administrative support for the team, but applicants are advised that there may be some rider contribution required in 2019.

There are three classes available for riders MX1, MX2 and Open. Riders are advised that they can nominate more than one class, however ensure you advise the class(s) you are entering on the EOI application form.

Bevan Weal and Shayne King are the Team Manager’s for the 2019 MXoN and along with a representative from the MX Commission, make up the selection panel.

It is anticipated that the time away will be approximately 7 days, with final details still to be confirmed.

EOI application forms for team riders are available to download on  and must be returned/received by 5pm Friday July 19, 2019. All applications must be made on the correct form.
