MNZ has developed a Coaching Pathway ready to be implemented in September 2018.
High Performance Alignment and Delivery is one of the key pillars in our strategic plan and the development of pathways for both riders and coaches is a crucial part of this. We’ve identified key success factors and developed a plan composed of four modules to start delivering on them.
In line with feedback from last year’s member survey, the first two modules focus on rider development, both on and off the bike.

1. PRESENTATION SKILLS (a seminar with Neil Ritchie) – for all riders
- How to present yourself to sponsors
- How to become an effective speaker
- How to create a C.V that stands out
- How to obtain and retain sponsors
The first Presentation Skills workshop, led by Neil ‘Turbo Tonsils’ Ritchie, launches in September. This promises to be an invaluable day, whatever level you’re riding at. It’s limited to 20 places, so get in quick if you’re keen to attend. See the flyer here for more details.
2. DREAM BIG (a seminar with Ben Townley, Josh Coppins) – for riders aiming for the top
- Basic technique
- Bike set up
- Goal setting/planning
- Personal challenges
- Value of sponsors
- How to find speed
Dream Big is designed to inspire and educate those with ambitions for the world stage, delivering valuable advice about the bigger picture and helping riders develop a strategy to achieve their goals. The first workshop is schedule for October – see the flyer here for more details.
